THE
ARTIST

Valentina is an Italo-Peruvian artist based in London
whose work is shaped by a life
lived across cultures.

Having studied and worked in Canada, the UAE and
the UK, she draws inspiration from her Peruvian
heritage, blending vibrant colours, symbolism, and
storytelling through acrylics and markers.

Her practice explores identity, memory, and cultural
connection through a contemporary lens. Through
her work, she aims to celebrate and share the
richness of Peruvian culture with UK audiences
while fostering greater appreciation and visibility for
Latin American art and traditions.

I had the honour of collaborating with
Comunidad Rimanakuy as an illustrator
for the book “Manual de Quechua Básico”,
the first Quechua manual published in
Spanish and English.

This project has been the result of months
of work, dedication and love, bringing to life
the language, culture and spirit of the
Quechua community through illustration.

I am so grateful to have been part of
something so meaningful, helping to share
and celebrate the Quechua language and
heritage with a wider audience.
